MERRY CHRISTMAS!

AND/OR A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello all!

Hope you enjoyed the Solidarność series. A lot of work went into that and I think there are many valuable lessons to be drawn from it, only some of which I got to during the posts. I had hoped to have another post this month, before creeping into the Holiday season. I wanted to write something that really tied together the ideas introduced here over the last couple months, particularly as related to the conceptual implications of the rethinking of left/right. Alas, as recently regular readers will expect, naturally I tumbled too far down the rabbit hole and wrote another essay, which was just too long for a single post. So, it’s going to need another multi-part series. And in that case, it didn’t make sense to break the parts up over the holidays. So, you can look forward to that in the New Year. I’m tentatively titling the series: WHAT’S LEFT OF WHAT’S RIGHT. Which perhaps you can see has a whole lot of fun semantic and semiotic playfulness to it.

However, I didn’t want to let the year finish off without extending to all my subscribers and occasional readers my heart felt wishes for a Merry Christmas. This is my second Christmas since starting The Circulation of Elites and it has been quite an experience in both the level of support and encouragement you’ve provided me (thank you so much for that) and the intriguing intellectual journey we’ve been on over that time. I look forward to seeing where it all goes in the year ahead.

And, again, for any of you who do not celebrate Christmas, I wish you too all the best for yourself and your family in the year to come.
